Please note that all UBC business must be done using the UBC email. Students can be contacted via your UBC email or from
Canvas. Emails sent to IT and Teaching & Learning Support Team by Gmail, Outlook, or other personal email addresses may have security issues and will not be responded. If your UBC email is not working, please use Teams chat to alert us.

Zoom & Teams Video Retention Policy
|
Starting in October 2023, UBC will begin removing video recordings from Zoom and Microsoft Teams automatically, one year
after each video is recorded.
This new video retention policy will affect all faculty, staff, and student employees who use UBC accounts to record

Teams Chat Retention Policy

Since April 30, 2021, UBC has adopted a schedule of removing personal chat messages in Microsoft Teams after 90 days. Messages in Teams channels will not be affected by this policy. Please check out
this tip-sheet for more information.
