GIS and Remote Sensing Canvas Course

A new open Canvas course, created by Dr. Nicholas Coops and Haitao Li, has a series of videos and modules for users of GIS and Remote Sensing. This course includes four modules: Theory, Tools, Data, and Application. Each module contains multiple videos, dedicated to particular topics such as: loading shapefiles, map projections, and adding plug-ins into QGIS. Alongside the videos are text introductions, links for data, and further reading. These videos are short and simple, and are designed to cover simple technical details that may be used in existing courses.

Skylight Online Teaching Series

In their Online Teaching Series, Skylight will showcase the work of colleagues and guest speakers in the Faculty of Science.
Furthermore, Skylight’s new Inclusive Teaching in the Sciences page provides information about support for faculty, funding opportunities, and curated resources for the STEM context. For resources to include in your syllabi, you may wish to review Creating inclusive syllabi in STEM on the resources page.
